TOURING WORKSHOPS
Our touring workshop programme is developed for particular age ranges and runs alongside a touring production. The programme provides opportunities for young people to experience and participate in dance. It is offered to a number of schools in each venue area and includes an educational dance workshop supported with educational resources and information relating to the production.

PARTNERSHIPS
Maiden Voyage works in partnership with a range of arts, cultural, health and education organisations to involve people of different ages, experiences and backgrounds in dance activity.  We devise, plan and coordinate a variety of dance projects, training courses, and workshops that are tailored to the specific context and chosen focus with the partner organisations. We deliver projects on a local and regional basis.

Recent projects include

Out of the Shadows
A dance, film and music project with Open Arts for older people with disabilities. The participating groups have completed short dances filmed in Belfast's Victoria Square, Ormeau Park and Crescent Park as well as a live music and shadow dance performance at the Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast.   Click here to see one of the films made by pixelbrix

BreakitDown
Devised for the Promoting Wellbeing Team at the Southern Health and Social Care Trust, Breakitdown - An Introduction to Streetdance - is an OCN Level 2 accredited course.  The course has been delivered annually in the Craigavon area since 2009 to train youth workers & volunteers to deliver a six week introductory dance programme which will encourage their youth groups to be more physically active. A further one-day masterclass workshop was held for previous participants with visiting dance artist Daniel Aing during September 2011.
