Maiden Voyage GradLab

Maiden Voyage Dance GradLab is an opportunity for 2024, 2025 or 2026 dance graduates from or based in Northern Ireland who wish to pursue a career as a contemporary dance artist here. 

GradLab is designed to introduce recent graduates to the work of Maiden Voyage Dance and the wider dance network in Northern Ireland. It offers participants the opportunity to build on existing training within an intensive professional experience to support their development as individual artists and creative collaborators. 

As well as technical and creative explorations the programme will include bespoke artistic mentorship and practical advice on the various aspects of building a portfolio career in dance.  

Maiden Voyage are funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and supported by Belfast City Council. GradLab is funded by the Idlewild Trust and supported by the Maiden Voyage | Luail partnership.

Where 

The Crescent Arts Centre, 2-4 University Rd, Belfast BT7 1NH.

Honorarium 

Successful applicants will receive an honorarium of £500.

 Criteria 

• You must be from or currently based in Northern Ireland with a desire to pursue work here.

• You must have graduated with a degree in Dance between 2024 and 2026

• You must be available from 09.00-17.00 from Monday 7th to Friday 11th December 2026.
