AUDITION CALL OUT
Seeking Professional Contemporary Dancers
New Work for Young Audiences by Takeshi Matsumoto
Maiden Voyage Dance is seeking highly skilled professional contemporary dancers for the creation of a new work for young audiences, created by choreographer Takeshi Matsumoto.
This new production will be developed in Belfast and will form part of Maiden Voyage Dance’s programme of contemporary performance for children and families.
We are looking for dancers who have
strong contemporary technique (additional movement practices welcomed)
a minimum of 3 years’ professional experience
an interest in creating and performing work for young audiences
a collaborative and responsive approach within the creative process
Audition Details
📅 Date: Monday 30 March 2026
📍 Venue: Crescent Arts Centre, Belfast
⏰ Time: 11-4pm
Engagement Periods
Selected dancers must be available for the following rehearsal and performance periods (all based in Belfast):
29 June – 3 July 2026
14 September – 2 October 2026
20 February – 13 March 2027 (exact dates tbc)
Fee
£630 per week (based on a 5-day week), plus holiday pay at 12.07%.
Location & Access
This engagement is based in Belfast and is most suitable for artists currently based in or able to work locally.
